But Frances' involvement in the real estate community has not been confined to the Women's council. The Abilene Board of REALTORS® named Frances McClure REALTOR® Associate of the year in 1970 and REALTOR® of the year in 1981. She has served as secretary and the vice-president of the Abilene Board of REALTORS® along with membership Director of the Board from 1993 to 1995. She received Distinguished Service award for serving as a Director for the Texas Association of REALTORS® from 1983 to 1985 while serving as a director of the National Association of REALTORS® in 1985. She has receive from the Abilene Board the "Award of Appreciation" in recognition of 30 years of faithful service. In 2003, the Abilene Board further recognized Frances with the prestigious Presidential Award in appreciation for all of her outstanding service to the profession. She holds a lifetime memberships in the Abilene Board of REALTORS® and the Political Action Committee of the National Association of REALTORS®.

Frances McClure, founder of McClure, REALTORS® began her real estate career in 1967. A native Abilenian, what she began as a pastime soon grew into a full time career and a corporation.
Frances has served the real estate community in many ways. She became a member of the Abilene Chapter of Women's Council of REALTORS® in 1968 and has served that organization as president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and a member of the board of directors as well as chairman of most of the chapter's committees. She was named Women's Council of REALTORS"® Woman of the Year" for 1987.
